Jess Carey is the award-winning author of Chart a Course - Taking a Journey With God at the Helm. She holds a certificate of pastoral ministry from Hillsong Leadership College as well as a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from New York University. She and her husband Alex have moved more than eight times across over 11,000 miles in the past decade, including a stint internationally. From acting in New York to running a business overseas, she has consistently stepped into the unknown. She has always been a dreamer forced to overcome a perfectionist’s fear of failure. Risk didn’t come naturally but it has been woven into the fabric of her life.
Her service in ministry has spanned across worship team, kids, youth, women’s ministry as well as service leading. In addition, her husband and she teach marriage preparation courses and are peer to peer couples coaches.
Her life is marked by building family, faith, church, and community. Her heart is to see every person living in the God-calling and purposes for which they were created. She lives in Phoenix with her two beautiful kids, her husband Alex and Goldendoodle Pearl. They pray that they will never stop celebrating life and all it’s beautiful twists and turns.
